Farmingdale State College alumni, students, faculty, and staff traded campus green for ballpark green as the community turned out in force for the annual LI Ducks Night at Fairfield Properties Ballpark. The night at the ballpark has become a favorite low-key gathering on the alumni events calendar, drawing families and young alumni alike for an evening of baseball, food, and Farmingdale spirit.
Attendees gathered in a reserved seating block decked out in College colors, with many spotted wearing Rams gear cheering on the Long Island Ducks. Between innings, alumni reconnected over ballpark food, and several longtime graduates said the informal setting made it easy to bring their own families along for a night out.
"It's one of our most relaxed events of the year, and that's exactly the point," said a member of the Alumni Relations team. "Not every gathering needs to be formal — sometimes the best way to stay connected to the College community is a hot dog and a ballgame."
